Evergreen Animal Protective League, Stopping Animal Suffering

Founded in 1981, EAPL or Evergreen Animal Protective League has been focused on aiding lost, abandoned, and suffering animals through rescue shelter and education.  They believe for every pet there is a home and there is hope, which is why they never give up on their efforts. In addition to rescuing these animals, they also offer educational programs to support animals in any way they can.

As of last year, Evergreen Animal Protective League has made 1,089 adoptions for cats and dogs and they are still working to find homes for pets whenever they can. Their primary focus answers the need for rescuing and finding homes for animals in our local mountain communities. However, Evergreen Animal Protective League also takes animals from other shelters in Colorado and out of state if they have room.

Community Impact

Evergreen Animal Protective League is supported extensively by volunteers and their thrift store that sells furniture, clothing, and more. The money raised from this store goes straight back into pets. EAPL operates without support from local, state, or federal funds. Instead, their financial support comes from their retail thrift store, fundraisers and public donations.

Evergreen Animal Protective League encourages everyone to make a difference!
