BYOC Coffee stands for Bring Your Own Cup and is focused on promoting a sustainable, zero-waste lifestyle. As Colorado’s first zero-waste drive-through coffee cart, they are trying to disrupt the coffee industry by presenting viable eco-friendly solutions. At BYOC, they use little plastic (and are working to be 100% zero-waste), offer organic products, and use alternatives such as rice paper to serve you the “greenest” coffee and treats around town. They are committed to taking care of the community and keeping it clean in this mountain town.
You’ll definitely want to try the Siberian Coffee at BYOC, you won’t be able to find this anywhere else around town – or probably even the state! This specialty drink includes muddled lemon and sugar to make a sweet, creamy, and smooth version of your traditional cup of Joe. You can sip on this delicious concoction next to St. Mary’s Glacier just like they do in Siberia! They also use coffee ice cubes in all of their drinks, so you don’t need to worry about your drink getting watered down. If you’re not into coffee, they also serve lemonade using freshly squeezed organic lemons and homemade simple syrup. You can pair your drink with one of their yummy pastry or snack offerings, too! If you bring your pup, you can also get locally made dog treats baked with peanut butter, eggs, flour, molasses, and cottage cheese.
At BYOC, they are committed to partnering with small and local businesses, as well as female entrepreneurs. That’s why they buy their coffee from a women-led business called Free Wheel Coffee Company that locally roasts their Dominican coffee in the neighboring town of Empire. BYOC also believes in showing genuine kindness and spreading good vibes. You will be greeted with a smile each time, and may even be serenaded with a song on the ukulele!
The owners of BYOC, Iggy and Amber, invite you to come join them for a cup of coffee and remind you to spread the kindness. Their hours of operation are generally from 11-4, so call ahead to see if they’re open earlier or later!
