A Decade of History

Long before Idaho Springs current inhabitants used these hot springs, the Arapahoe Native Americans considered them to be sacred. It wasn’t until 1863 that Dr. E.M. Cummings invested in the property and transformed it into the first public health baths. Since then, people from all over the world have come to these hot springs, including Clint Eastwood, John Denver, John McEuen, and Bo Diddly.
