Miner Street Market is an open-air street market in the heart of Idaho Springs. With picturesque views of the Rocky Mountains, events and plenty of local businesses to keep you busy, Miner Street is ready to host visitors and locals alike.
The Colorado gold rush began in Idaho Springs in the mid-nineteenth century. Following the rush, the iconic Argo Mill and Tunnel began operation and continued to drain mines and process ore for decades. You’ll be able to get a feel for the historic presence of the mining industry that built Idaho Springs on Miner Street. It will be adorned with genuine mining carts and lanterns.
Regardless of the day you come, the Miner Street Market will keep you busy with fun activities for the whole family! Check out some of the events happening this summer:
In addition, the open carry of alcohol will be permitted on Miner Street on the third Saturday of every month during ‘A Taste of Idaho Springs.’ Restaurants will prepare their own small plate and beverage, with 10% of each sale going to a local non-profit. The first beneficiary of that 10% of sales will be Carlson Elementary School, to help finish their playground project. Not only will you be supporting local Idaho Springs events and businesses, but you’ll be supporting charity.
Whether you’re from the area or visiting for the weekend, Miner Street Market is the go-to mountain destination for charming and historic fun, food and more this summer! May 14th will be the first day of the Miner Street Market and May 31st will be Grand Opening Day.
